About Thomas Klasmeier
I’m Thomas Klasmeier, a metrologist and engineer, as well as a globetrotter and photographer.
I’ve traveled to more than 40 countries across all seven continents, including Antarctica. Driven by curiosity, I explore different cultures and ways of life. Traveling inspires me and my photography.
I’ve been photographing for over 25 years. Most of my work is created while traveling, capturing landscapes, people, and everyday moments as I experience them.
Antarctica
Antarctica
Antarctica is one of the most remote and breathtaking places on Earth - ice, wildlife, silence and endless horizons. These photographs are a selection from my journey to the most southern continent.
Africa
Wildlife of East Africa
East Africa is a place where every horizon seems alive. Lions, leopards, elephants and countless antelopes share the same plains, moving with a rhythm that feels timeless. On safari I tried to capture quiet moments and raw sightings - from curious impalas to big cats on the hunt.
Middle East
Impressions from the Middle East
The Middle East is shaped by deep history, strong contrasts and everyday moments. These photographs capture cultural landmarks, religious life and scenes from daily life across the region.
